Experienced Solution Architect - London Market Insurance

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with strong London Market Insurance experience to play a leading role in defining solution architecture and supporting strategic technology decisions across a large-scale transformation programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Solution Architecture activities across a large-scale London Market Insurance transformation programme.
  • Produce high-level and detailed solution designs, Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and technical design documentation.
  • Develop current-state, target-state, transition-state and interim-state architecture models.
  • Define migration strategies, transition architectures and modernisation roadmaps.
  • Facilitate architecture workshops and solution design sessions.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and practical technology solutions.
  • Support PAS replacement, PAS implementation and PAS migration strategy.
  • Contribute to vendor assessments, technology selection, solution evaluations and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Support the definition of future underwriting operating capabilities.
  • Contribute to capability mapping, process transformation and platform roadmap activities.
  • Work closely with System Integrators, implementation partners and third-party suppliers.
  • Ensure suppliers adhere to architecture standards, governance processes and design principles.
  • Review and challenge solution designs produced by delivery partners and vendors.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect within the London Market Insurance sector.
  • Strong London Market Insurance and underwriting domain knowledge.
  • Significant experience delivering large-scale insurance transformation programmes.
  • Experience delivering or supporting London Market PAS implementation, PAS replacement or PAS migration programmes.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting processes and underwriting operating models.
  • Experience developing migration strategies, transition architectures and modernisation roadmaps.
  • Experience documenting current-state and target-state technology landscapes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and architecture governance experience.
