Role: Solution Architect – Ecommerce & Omnichannel

Location: South West London - 1 day a week Salary: Up to £115,000 + Bonus & Benefits

I'm working with a major consumer-facing organisation going through a significant transformation of its digital and ecommerce proposition.

The organisation is at the beginning of a significant period of change rather than simply maintaining an established ecommerce platform.

You'll have the opportunity to shape the architecture, influence major technology decisions and see the transformation through from design into delivery, with the digital proposition expanding significantly over the coming years.

They are looking for a Solution Architect to play a key role in shaping the next generation of their ecommerce ecosystem as they expand their digital proposition across new services, markets and customer journeys.

This role isn't focused purely on one ecommerce platform or one part of the journey. You'll be looking across the end-to-end ecommerce landscape from the customer-facing digital experience through checkout and payments, into order management, inventory, fulfilment, delivery and returns.

You'll work closely with Product, Engineering and Architecture teams, alongside a number of strategic technology partners, to define how the future platform should evolve and ensure the architecture can support significant growth and international expansion.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You'll already be operating as a Solution Architect, Ecommerce Architect, Digital Architect or Commerce Architect, with experience delivering significant ecommerce transformation.

We're particularly interested in experience across:

  • Large-scale Ecommerce / Digital Commerce
  • Omnichannel retail
  • Customer-facing web and mobile journeys
  • Checkout and payments
  • Order Management Systems
  • Product/catalogue and inventory
  • Fulfilment, delivery and returns
  • APIs and enterprise integration
  • SaaS and third-party ecommerce platforms
  • Modern cloud and/or composable commerce architectures
  • Architecture within complex, high-volume environments

Experience within retail, fashion or another high-volume consumer business would be particularly valuable.

You don't need to be a hands-on developer. What matters is that you've got enough technical depth to understand how the different components of a modern ecommerce ecosystem connect, while being able to operate at the architecture and business level.
