Solution Architect
Location: Remote with occasional travel to London
Day Rate: £750 - £800 Per Day Inside IR35
I am working with a longstanding client who are one of the country’s leading and most well-respected IT Solutions and Services providers. They have a fantastic track record in delivering large scale technology and service solutions for both enterprise level private sector and public sector organisations.
They are now looking for a Storage Solution Architect to join their team on a three – six month contract to support the delivery of a large and business critical strategic programme of work that is focused on the transformation and modernisation of their customer’s on-premises environment.
The successful candidate will be creating High Level Designs, roadmaps, reference architecture and providing support to the platform engineering teams.
Skills & Experience Required
Architecture Experience
- Experience in a Solution Architect role delivering projects and technical solutions
- Experience with enterprise strategies covering capacity planning, performance optimisation, data lifecycle management, tiering and storage governance.
- Experience operating within mature architecture governance functions.
- Experience working within global and highly regulated organisations.
- Financial Services experience is desirable but not essential.

Technical Expertise
- Technical expertise in Nutanix technologies including AHV, Prism Central, lifecycle management, automation, resilience and disaster recovery.
- Technical expertise in Dell enterprise storage platforms, including PowerStore, PowerScale, PowerMax, ECS and associated storage networking technologies.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise compute platforms including x86 server infrastructure, hyperconverged infrastructure, virtualisation, hardware lifecycle management and workload placement strategies.
- Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift and container platform architectures, including Kubernetes, container orchestration, platform operations, workload placement, application hosting, infrastructure integration, resilience, observability and hybrid cloud deployment models.
- Experience with backup, recovery, cyber resilience and business continuity strategies, including immutable storage, replication, ransomware recovery and disaster recovery architectures. Experience working with Rubrik is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure automation, orchestration and management tooling, including APIs, Infrastructure as Code, configuration management and platform observability.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud integration and workload mobility across on-premises and public cloud environments.
- Experience designing highly available and resilient infrastructure architectures, including fault domain design, operational support models and recovery objectives.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security principles including segmentation, encryption, privileged access controls, vulnerability management and secure-by-design architecture practices.

Qualifications/Certifications
- Professional or academic qualifications in a technology-related discipline
- Enterprise Architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF®, Open CA, BCS Enterprise & Solution Architecture, or equivalent).
- Cloud, Security, Architecture, or Microsoft certifications
