Hiring: Solution Architect (VP Engineering)
Up to £120,000
Location: London
Work Arrangement: Hybrid: 3 days per week in the office (flexible)
I’m recruiting for a brand-new role within a global media business, leading data engineering and solution architecture for a major international client.
This is an opportunity for a technical leader who combines deep media data experience with the confidence to manage engineers, own technical delivery and lead client conversations.
The Role:
- Manage and develop a team of data engineers.
- Own the technical direction, solution architecture and engineering standards across the account’s data infrastructure.
- Oversee development and coding, including code reviews, quality and best practice.
- Lead technical client meetings, translating business requirements into clear, scalable solutions.
- Ensure data pipelines and reporting datasets are accurate, reliable and efficient within an AWS environment.

You’ll Need:
- Media data experience—essential, with a strong understanding of advertising or campaign data.
- Hands-on expertise in Amazon Redshift and dbt—both essential.
- Experience managing data engineers and overseeing technical delivery.
- Strong SQL skills and the technical depth to review code and guide engineering decisions.
- Confidence leading technical discussions with clients and explaining complex ideas clearly.
