Solutions Architect
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Solutions Architect based in United Kingdom.
As a Solutions Architect, you will help customers design and implement reliable, scalable solutions for complex distributed applications and AI-driven workflows. You will combine deep technical expertise with strong customer-facing skills to guide organizations through architecture, adoption and implementation. Working closely with sales, product and engineering teams, you will act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer journey. You will translate business challenges into clear architectural strategies and identify use cases that deliver measurable value. The role spans industries including fintech, healthcare, logistics and cybersecurity, as well as broader application modernization, resilience and performance initiatives. You will also contribute to the wider technical community through workshops, seminars and meetups. This is a remote-friendly, international role offering significant ownership, with approximately 15–20% travel to customer sites.
Accountabilities
- Develop deep expertise in the platform and guide customers through training, adoption, implementation and best practices for workflow and application orchestration.
- Act as a technical advisor to customers and the sales organization throughout the pre-sales and commercial process.
- Understand customer business objectives and translate them into clear architectural visions, technical strategies and compelling use cases.
- Help customers solve complex challenges involving distributed systems, application development, modernization, scalability, performance and resilience.
- Design solutions that enable customers to achieve tangible, data-driven business outcomes.
- Work across diverse industries and technical environments, adapting architectural recommendations to different business requirements and use cases.
- Collaborate closely with product teams and advocate for customer needs, feedback and technical requirements.
- Partner with engineering and other internal stakeholders to help evolve and improve the platform based on real-world customer challenges.
- Lead technical workshops, seminars, meetups and other community activities to engage developers and technical audiences.
- Identify opportunities to apply orchestration, integrations, observability and resilience capabilities to complex enterprise applications and workflows.
- Communicate architectural concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders and build trusted long-term customer relationships.

Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience spanning software engineering, cloud architecture and/or customer-facing technical roles.
- Strong understanding of system design patterns, distributed systems, microservices and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience designing and implementing integrations using REST APIs and messaging technologies such as Kafka, MQ or similar systems.
- Professional proficiency in Java and the ability to engage comfortably with software engineering teams.
- Understanding of business processes across multiple industries, geographies and technical domains.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to approach complex technical challenges with structured, practical solutions.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain sophisticated technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Passion for learning new technologies and staying current with evolving approaches to distributed applications and cloud architecture.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across sales, product, engineering and customer teams.
- Experience with workflow orchestration or workflow engines such as Conductor, Camunda or Temporal is a strong advantage.
- Contributions to open-source software or technical communities are a plus.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15–20% to meet customers and support business needs.
- Comfortable working remotely within Central European time zones, ideally GMT+1 or within approximately 1–2 hours of that timezone.
