Turning messy operations into scalable systems.

Kubix is a Shopify Platinum Partner entering our eleventh year in business. We have grown to a team of 45, working with eCommerce businesses across a wide range of industries.

We go beyond the brief, immersing ourselves in how our clients' businesses actually run, and build solutions that respect business as usual while getting them the most out of Shopify.

A large share of our pipeline is replatforming, B2B, and retail (POS) projects, where the value we add is not the storefront alone. It is the wider technology stack around it.

We solve those problems well today. But as the technical depth of Shopify continues to increase, there is room for someone to own how our technical solutions are shaped before a line of code is written.

What You'll Do

  • Technical discovery and solution design. You run technical discovery with clients, in workshops and on calls, and you are the person who draws out how their operation actually works: the exceptions, the workarounds, the constraints nobody documented. You turn that into solution designs, process flows, data mappings and specifications a developer can build from without coming back with questions.
  • Integration architecture. You decide how systems connect and why. Middleware or direct, event-driven or scheduled, build or buy. You own the reasoning and can clearly articulate to a client why you’ve proposed certain routes.
  • Technical input into commercial work. You support the scoping process and validate that technical solutions are viable, at what cost, and with what risk. You proactively surface opportunities where proposed solutions aren’t scalable, or in line with the bigger picture.
  • Delivery assurance. You stay involved through build, UAT, go-live and hypercare on the projects you have designed. Not as a project manager, but as the person who can troubleshoot, read the logs, find the root cause and see that through to a successful resolution.
  • Capability building. You leave the business more capable than you found it. Reusable patterns, documented approaches, and mid-level and junior colleagues who can do things this year that they could not do last year.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Skills/Qualities

  • Experience designing and delivering eCommerce or retail systems integrations, connecting front end platforms to ERP, WMS, 3PL, POS or finance systems.
  • Genuine client-facing capability. You can run a discovery workshop with a client's ops, finance and IT people in the room and come out with clarity rather than a list of unanswered questions.
  • The ability to write specifications, mappings and process documentation that other people can act on. This role produces a lot of written output.
  • Hands-on technical fluency: GraphQL / REST API, webhooks, JSON, data transformation and mapping, log and payload investigation. You do not need to be a developer, but you must be able to get into the details and diagnose problems yourself. Experience with iPaaS platforms such as Patchworks, Boomi, Celigo is a plus.
  • Commercial awareness. You understand that a technically elegant solution the client cannot afford is not a solution.
  • Evidence of taking complex programmes through go-live

Ideally, You'll Also Have

  • Shopify and Shopify POS experience. If you have integration experience on other platforms, we will get you up to speed on Shopify quickly.
  • Agency or consultancy background, or experience working with implementation partners from the client side
  • Exposure to any of NetSuite, Unleashed, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Brightpearl, Sage, Xero, Peoplevox, Pipe17 or similar platforms.
  • Formal project or delivery qualifications
  • Experience in a regulated or highly governed environment, where things had to be right the first time.

We are not asking you to manage people, own resourcing or run a delivery team. We have that covered. We are asking you to be the strongest technical mind in the room and to bring others up with you.

Why This Role?

The role is yours to define. There is no existing rigid playbook for this, no inherited process to work around, and nobody above you who will tell you how integration and solution design should be done here. You decide what good looks like, and you build it.

  • Autonomy over the technical approach. You choose the patterns, the tooling and the standards. When you decide a middleware platform is right for a client, or that we should stop using one, that is your call to make and yours to argue for. We are not looking for someone to implement decisions that have already been taken.
  • A seat at the point where the work is shaped. You will be involved before scopes are signed, not handed a specification and asked to make it work. Your view on feasibility, risk and cost will change what we sell and what we say no to.
  • Influence over how the team grows. As we build this capability out, you will help shape what we hire for, how we train people and what the career path looks like beneath you. The junior and mid-level colleagues you mentor are the team you are helping to design.
  • A business that is still growing. We are in our eleventh year, we have gone from three people to forty-five, and we still behave like a company that wants to grow rather than one protecting what it has.

Salary Expectations

We appreciate that showing a salary indication is helpful for you to know whether it works with your personal circumstances, and it can be extremely frustrating to keep something so important so vague. But honestly? We’re in a position to consider a wide variety of experiences and salary levels for this role, so we’d rather discuss your experience and skills than try to set a salary bracket.

If you’re the best person for the role, then we’ll offer a salary that works.
