At B&M, we're investing in the technology, data and systems that support our growth and enhance how we serve our customers. We are seeking an experienced Contract Solution Architect to play a key role in shaping and delivering strategic Retail and Supply Chain initiatives, with a particular focus on Product Data, Forecasting, Replenishment and Inventory Management.

This is a highly collaborative role, working at the intersection of business and technology. You will partner with stakeholders across Trading, Supply Chain, Store Operations and IT to design scalable, practical solutions that solve complex business challenges. The successful candidate will combine strong solution architecture expertise with a deep understanding of retail and supply chain processes, enabling them to translate business requirements into robust technology solutions.

This role is a 6 month contract and will require a minimum of 2 days at our Support Centre in Speke.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders, Business Analysts, Product Owners and vendors to understand challenges, shape requirements and develop solution options.
  • Lead workshops and discovery activities to translate business needs into technology designs and architectural artefacts.
  • Produce end-to-end solution designs, defining integration patterns and data flows across enterprise applications.
  • Support technology evaluations, supplier selection processes, RFI/RFP activities and technical due diligence assessments.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements and governance processes, while supporting testing and transition into support.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
