About the Role
As a Solution Architect, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of solution design across the ZIGUP group, working from early discovery and business case development through to architecture governance, delivery and transition into operational support. You’ll ensure solutions align with Group Architecture standards whilst balancing business value, strategic alignment, operational sustainability, risk and cost.
Working across multiple business brands, suppliers and technology teams, you’ll provide architectural leadership and direction across complex change programmes, helping to shape future business capabilities and deliver measurable outcomes. You’ll act as the bridge between business and technology, working closely with stakeholders to understand their objectives, challenges and opportunities, and translating these into practical technology architectures.
You’ll also work closely with architecture and engineering colleagues across Engagement, Applications, Data and Security, providing technical leadership and ensuring solutions can be successfully delivered and supported. Success in this role will require strong stakeholder engagement, commercial awareness, strategic thinking and the ability to influence decisions at all levels, whilst maintaining a pragmatic focus on delivery and service excellence.

- Salary - Up to £72,500 per annum depending on experience.

About You
We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in solution design within a large and complex enterprise environment.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience working in a Solution Architecture or solution design function, ideally across multiple business brands, suppliers and technology teams.
- Broad technical knowledge across enterprise cloud platforms, including Identity Services, SaaS, enterprise applications, data and API technologies, alongside networking, security and hybrid infrastructure.
- High level stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, and translate complex technical concepts into clear proposals and recommendations.
- Experience supporting business transformation and organisational change, with the ability to take end-to-end ownership of solution architecture from initial concept through delivery and transition into operational support.
- A good understanding of architecture governance, risk management and design assurance, with experience working within Architecture Review Boards, Design Authorities and technical governance frameworks.
- A commercial and strategical mindset, with an understanding of budgets, suppliers and contracts, and the ability to balance business value, user experience, operational requirements, risk and technical constraints to deliver pragmatic, sustainable solutions.
