About the Role

Are you an experienced Microsoft Solution Architect who combines strong technical knowledge with the commercial mindset needed to build and develop a successful practice?

We’re looking for a Solution Architect & Microsoft Lead to take ownership of the strategic direction and continued growth of a Microsoft cloud practice. This is a senior, influential role combining client-facing solution architecture, technology leadership, service development and go-to-market strategy.

You’ll work closely with clients to understand their business challenges and design tailored Microsoft solutions across Modern Workplace, Security and Azure. Internally, you’ll collaborate with sales, technical delivery and managed services teams to ensure solutions are commercially viable, technically robust and deliver long-term value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and development of the Microsoft practice, aligned with Microsoft’s priorities and the wider business plan.
  • Architect tailored cloud solutions across Microsoft 365, Modern Workplace, Security and Azure.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their objectives, existing technology landscape and transformation requirements.
  • Develop structured, repeatable go-to-market offerings across areas such as Azure Virtual Desktop, Teams Phone and Copilot readiness.
  • Support sales opportunities through discovery sessions, technical workshops, solution design, proposals and presentations.
  • Own plans for maintaining Microsoft designations and achieving relevant advanced specialisations.
  • Create practice roadmaps covering service development, certifications, technical capability and annual objectives.
  • Work with delivery and managed services teams to ensure a smooth transition from initial discovery through to implementation and ongoing optimisation.
  • Develop and govern scalable delivery models across internal and nearshore technical teams.
  • Establish consistent delivery methodologies covering advice, design, deployment, operation and optimisation.
  • Build discovery and feasibility services that identify risks and validate solutions before implementation.
  • Act as a Microsoft technology evangelist through client webinars, internal mentoring and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Develop complementary propositions incorporating technologies such as Fortinet, Nerdio and Veeam.
  • Monitor developments across the Microsoft ecosystem and translate them into commercially relevant services and client opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
