Solution Architect
Location: Bristol (Hybrid 1-2 days per week)
Salary: Up to £100,000 + Bonus
Security Clearance: Must hold active UK Security Clearance (SC)
We're supporting a leading technology and consulting organisation delivering complex transformation programmes across government, defence, security, and critical national infrastructure sectors. As part of continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale technology solutions for high-profile customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of architecture, engineering, stakeholder engagement, and business transformation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Defining end-to-end solution architectures across complex digital transformation programmes.
- Producing and assuring key architecture artefacts including High-Level Designs, Technical Options Papers, and Architectural Decision Records.
- Working closely with engineering teams to establish architectural vision, standards, and technical guardrails.
- Engaging with senior stakeholders to shape technology roadmaps, business cases, delivery plans, and investment decisions.
- Leading architecture discussions across cloud, data, application, technology, and security domains.
- Supporting agile delivery teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to business objectives.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' commercial experience working as a Solution Architect within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong software engineering background with experience leading technical teams and delivering modern applications and services.
- Experience creating architecture documentation, designs, and governance artefacts.
- Strong understanding of architectural frameworks and delivery methodologies.
- Expertise in at least one architecture discipline, such as Application, Technology, Security, Data, or Business Architecture.
- Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments such as Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban.
- Architecture certifications such as TOGAF are advantageous.
