Solution Architect
📍 UK | Remote First (occasional client travel)
Senior Principal / Director Level
At Valcon, we help organisations solve complex business challenges through a unique combination of consulting, data & AI, and technology expertise. As we continue our growth journey, we're looking for a talented Solution Architect to join our Technology Advisory team.
This is an opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, helping shape technology strategies and designing solutions that deliver meaningful business outcomes. You'll sit at the intersection of business and technology, working closely with stakeholders to understand their challenges and architect innovative, scalable solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Partnering with clients to understand business challenges, strategic objectives, and opportunities for transformation.
- Designing end-to-end technology solutions and detailed technical architectures.
- Translating complex business requirements into practical, scalable technology outcomes.
- Providing technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring delivery teams.
- Supporting business development activities, helping shape proposals and statements of work.
- Contributing to the development of Valcon's technology offerings and thought leadership.
- Keeping ahead of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.

What We're Looking For
- Experience designing and delivering complex enterprise technology solutions.
- Consultancy experience or experience working in client-facing environments.
- Hands-on delivery experience across Agile and traditional delivery methodologies, including SAFe.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted advisor relationships.
- Experience defining technical roadmaps and guiding delivery across multiple programmes.
- A structured approach to solving business problems before applying technology solutions.
- Good understanding of enterprise architecture principles and governance.
- Strong leadership skills with experience influencing teams and driving successful outcomes.
