Job Title: Solution Architect

Location: Huntingdon (Hybrid)

Clearance required: BPSS

Duration: 30/11/2026

Pay Rate: £671 per day all inc. (PAYE through Umbrella)

Sector: ETU

Standard working pattern is Tuesday and Wednesday on client site in Huntingdon, rest of week working from home. As with all projects there will be flexibility needed as we go through the phases, especially as get close to and go-live.

Job Description:

  • Own the end-to-end solution architecture for a large-scale SAP Payroll transformation programme, ensuring a coherent design across functional, technical, and integration layers
  • Lead solution design decisions and provide architectural governance throughout the programme lifecycle — from discovery and process design through build, test, and deployment
  • Strong overall SAP solution architecture experience, with the ability to evaluate design options, manage trade-offs, and ensure alignment with clean core and enterprise architecture principles
  • Define and oversee the integration landscape, including S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and third-party systems, ensuring seamless data flows and interface designs
  • Manage cross-workstream dependencies (functional, data, integration, security, testing) and act as the design authority across delivery teams
  • Engage confidently with senior client stakeholders — presenting solution options, securing design sign-offs, and supporting programme governance forums

Prior SAP HR/Payroll implementation experience is not mandatory but highly recommended; strong architecture fundamentals and transformation delivery experience are essential
