Solution Architect (SC)

Location: UK-wide | Hybrid | Ad hoc travel to client sites Level: Specialist Salary: Competitive, based on experience Clearance: BPSS & SC

Are you an experienced Solution Architect looking to work on complex technology programmes within highly secure environments?

This is an opportunity to join a major technology and consulting organisation, working with clients across the UK to design secure, scalable and innovative technology solutions.

The Role

As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for translating complex business and technical requirements into robust architectural solutions.

You will:

  • Define creative solutions addressing both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Develop architectural roadmaps for systems and business services
  • Create and communicate solution designs using industry-standard modelling techniques
  • Define architectural standards, principles and guidelines
  • Ensure solutions meet agreed architectural principles and quality standards
  • Work closely with development and delivery teams to provide technical leadership
  • Contribute to architectural practice development, thought leadership and new service offerings

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a Solution Architect with a strong technical foundation and experience working across modern technology environments.

You should have:

  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, open source and open standards
  • Solid understanding of architecture concepts, methodologies and approaches
  • Experience with architectural modelling such as ArchiMate, UML or BPMN
  • Knowledge of integration techniques, architecture patterns and non-functional requirements
  • Experience providing technical leadership to development teams
  • Strong quality assurance and technical governance skills
  • Experience working across both Agile and traditional delivery methodologies
  • The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
