Crypto / HSM Solution Architect – Banking
📍 Location: Milton Keynes, UK
🏢 Working Arrangement: Hybrid – 2–3 days per week from office
💼 Experience: 7–10 years

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Crypto / HSM Solution Architect with strong banking, cards or payments experience to design and support secure cryptographic solutions and architectures.
Key Responsibilities & Must-Have Skills
- Design and architect Crypto solutions aligned with PCI and ANSI standards and technology roadmaps.
- Strong knowledge of cryptography, data security, and HSM services within banking environments.
- Expert understanding of key hierarchy: LMK, ZMK, ZPK, TMK, TPK, PVK, CVK, and ATM Remote Key Loading.
- Strong knowledge of Triple DES, RSA, Key Block, and AES cryptographic standards.
- Hands-on experience supporting HSMs from different vendors, including migrations, project engagements, and incident management.
- Drive continuous improvement and adoption of IT best practices.
- Work with CISO/Security teams to address regulatory requirements and mandates.
- Manage encryption-key platform obsolescence across cards and platform systems.
- Participate in and lead technical and architecture forums and product vision discussions.
- Work closely with Cards and Platforms SMEs across design, build, testing, deployment, and post-release support in an Agile environment.
- Take full ownership of encryption key changes.
- Communicate effectively with users, technical teams, and senior management on requirements, technical designs, product features, and strategy.

- ⚠️ Salary is strictly capped at £75,000 PA. Candidates expecting above this range will not fit the role.
