Job Title: Solution Architect with MS Dynamics skills
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution/Application Architect to join our team. This role will involve designing, implementing, and supporting solutions and applications, focusing on cloud-based technologies, integration, and architecture governance. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of agile architecture and engineering practices. This position requires deep knowledge and expertise in technologies with must-have skills on Azure, MS Dynamics, integration, and data management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and Solution Design: Lead the design and development of innovative solutions and services to meet the needs of DEFRA.
- Agile Architecture/GDS Delivery Ways of Working: Implement and promote agile architecture and Government Digital Service (GDS) delivery methods to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Designing Solutions and Promoting Use of MS Dynamics: Design solutions and promote the use of MS Dynamics within the organization, with specific applicability to CRM and Field Service, orchestrating integrations with other systems.
- Solution Options and Recommendations: Evaluate and recommend optimal solutions, technologies, and approaches to meet project requirements.
- Engaging with External Contractors/Vendors: Collaborate with external partners, contractors, and vendors to ensure the successful implementation of architectural solutions.
- Documenting Solutions: Create comprehensive documentation for architectural designs, ensuring clear and effective communication of technical details.
- Support to Delivery Teams: Provide guidance and support to project delivery teams, ensuring that architectural best practices are followed.
- Plan and Support Migration Activities: Develop migration plans and assist in the seamless transition of solutions into live operation.
- Support Service Design and Transition: Collaborate with the service design team to ensure that architectural considerations are integrated into live operations.

- Design integration solutions and interfaces based on project design activities.
Architecture Governance and Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with Authority architecture principles, standards, patterns, and guardrails.
- Provide assurance for solution and technical designs.
- Oversee the governance process for technical artifacts.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
- Proven experience as a Solution/Application Architect.
- Knowledge of agile and GDS delivery practices.
- Experience and expertise on Microsoft Azure technologies and services.
- Experience on MS Dynamics products – CRM, Field Services.
- Strong understanding of integration and security technologies.
- Previous experience in data management and cloud-based architecture.
- Familiarity with development and architecture tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
