IT Solution Architect – 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

We are supporting a large, established UK organisation seeking an experienced IT Solution Architect to join its Architecture Practice on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, offering a competitive salary alongside a car/car allowance, bonus and comprehensive benefits package.

The Role

As an IT Solution Architect, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering technology solutions across a complex enterprise environment. You will work across applications, integrations, data and infrastructure, translating business objectives into scalable, secure and cost-effective technology solutions.

Working closely with business stakeholders, project teams, technical specialists and suppliers, you will ensure technology investments align with architectural standards, strategic roadmaps and wider transformation objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and shape technology solutions across applications, integration, data and infrastructure.
  • Translate business requirements and strategic objectives into effective technical solutions.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, security requirements and technology roadmaps.
  • Lead solution discovery, assessment, design and planning activities.
  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders, technical SMEs, vendors and project teams.
  • Produce solution designs, architecture decision records, technology roadmaps and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in Architecture Review Boards, governance forums and project assurance activities.
  • Assess and communicate technical risks, dependencies, issues and recommendations.
  • Support application modernisation, rationalisation and wider digital transformation programmes.
  • Present architectural recommendations to both technical and senior non-technical stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
