Enterprise Technology Services

The Enterprise Technology Services organization partners with every part of the American Express business to power the company’s growth and innovation with trust and efficiency, and drive competitive differentiation with speed. We support the delivery and operations of technology, digital, and data capabilities, platforms, and services globally. Specifically, our team is responsible for the company’s technology engineering, architecture, and infrastructure, providing 24x7 support to ensure an uninterrupted, high-quality experience for customers and colleagues. We also provide product management for core enterprise platforms, and lead technology risk and information security, enterprise data governance and platforms, digital product and design, and enterprise AI platforms on behalf of the company.

At American Express our Global Network relies increasingly on the deep expertise and experience of a core team of subject matter experts in payments technology who are passionate about Payment Tokenisation, 3D Secure and similar emerging digital payment products and standards.

Our Solutions Architects have both deep technical and strategic business knowledge. But they’re of one mind about using their experience, expertise and vision to drive better business outcomes.

We value deep and broad knowledge of this domain in which we excel, provide solutions and consultancy to our product teams, and be great collaborators and communicators.

Our Team

We are a small team of solution architects based in the UK embedded within our wider Global Network Technology team. We enjoy dynamic and interesting daily work and we have an excellent work/life balance, and flexible working practices.

The Challenge

Within Amex you’ll work closely with a variety of Network Product and Technology teams using your skills in the domain of payment products applied to define solutions and be a key contributor to American Express Payment Products.

About you?

Coming from a technical background with business knowledge and context from your experience in the card payments industry you’ll be ready to succeed and apply your expertise. Your ability to combine your knowledge and passion with written communication will be highly valued.

While the role does not currently involve any software development, relevant past experience as a software developer would be a valuable asset in support of the in-depth understanding of how applications are designed and developed.
