Solution Architect – Property & Asset Systems
Location: Bristol, hybrid
Salary: Up to £75,000
Contract: Permanent
We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect to lead the architecture across property and asset technology platforms, with an initial focus on the Asset domain.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across complex technology landscapes, bringing clarity to current-state architecture and shaping practical, sustainable solutions for the future.
The role
You’ll work across Property, Operations, Data & Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, Security and external suppliers to understand the existing technology landscape and help define the target state.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Owning and maintaining the architectural view of property and asset platforms, including systems, integrations, data flows, and dependencies
- Leading current-state discovery and establishing reliable architecture baselines
- Defining data and integration approaches across the asset lifecycle, including construction, Golden Thread information, and project handover
- Providing architecture and design assurance across projects, programmes, and BAU change
- Producing architecture documentation, including impact assessments, high- and low-level designs, options papers, and decision records
- Identifying technical debt, risks, and opportunities and working with internal teams and suppliers to develop practical solutions
- Shaping technology roadmaps, transition plans, and future-state designs
- Working closely with Data, Integration, Infrastructure, Security, and Enterprise Architecture specialists
- Supporting architecture governance and maintaining accurate system and architecture records
- Exploring opportunities around IoT, smart buildings, automation, and AI where they support business outcomes

What we’re looking for
You’ll have practical Solution Architecture experience across live applications, SaaS platforms, integrations, and operational services. We’re looking for experience with:
- Data, APIs, integrations, data flows, and data quality
- Architecture documentation and design assurance
- Current-state architecture and future-state roadmaps
- Security, resilience, service readiness, and supplier dependencies
- Stakeholder management across technical, operational, and project teams
- Balancing strategic goals with operational requirements, cost, risk, and technical debt
- Working effectively with ambiguity and incomplete documentation

Experience within property, facilities, construction, asset management, or the built environment would be beneficial.
Knowledge of BIM, structured asset information, construction handover, Salesforce, asset management platforms, or integration technologies would also be advantageous.
