Solutions Architect AWS/Azure
£90k basic plus benefits
London SE1 (hybrid-working, 1 day per week in office)

Interesting and varied Solutions Architecture role supporting the transformation of global technology platforms across this NFP in the education sector. The role is largely remote with travel to London (once a week max) and provides a blend of working on leading technology solutions with an excellent team and strong work-life balance.

Working closely with Enterprise and Product Architects, the Transformation Team, Product Managers, Delivery Teams, Engineering, (on and offshore) Suppliers and across the wider business stakeholder base, this Solutions Architect role will translate strategic goals into coherent solution designs that align with enterprise architecture principles, technology standards and organisational strategy.

About the role

This role is an expansion to the existing Architecture Team to support organisation wide change from legacy on prem services to a modern cloud environment (predominately AWS with but including Azure).

This will require leadership across a blend of:

  • Solution Design and Architecture
  • Cloud Architecture (AWS and Azure)
  • Technical Leadership
  • Governance & Standards

Skills required

  • Solutions Architect within complex, enterprise environments
  • Expertise in AWS cloud architecture and preferably Azure.
  • Hands-on experience designing integrations using APIs, microservices, event-driven patterns, or middleware.
  • Solid understanding of CRM and ERP capabilities.
  • Proven ability to work in, and support, agile delivery environments (Scrum / Kanban).
  • Confident working with external and offshore partners to ensure consistent delivery.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to set coherent and robust technical roadmaps and be prepared to support decision making to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience producing architecture artefacts, diagrams, and technical documentation.
