The Role
As a Solutions Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of both our product and project delivery teams.
You will work across two core technology environments:
- Product Team: Python/Django-based applications
- Project Team:.NET-based solutions
Remote Role with on-site team collaboration periodically
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of both Python and.NET ecosystems, enabling them to design scalable, maintainable, and future-proof solutions while supporting engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle. This is not a siloed architecture position. We are looking for someone who enjoys working alongside developers, contributing to technical discussions, solving problems collaboratively, and helping teams deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own solution architectures across multiple software products and customer projects.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable application architectures.
- Collaborate closely with development teams working in both Python/Django and.NET environments.
- Support the company's transition towards a more modular application architecture.
- Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Provide architectural governance while maintaining a pragmatic and delivery-focused mindset.
- Review technical designs and offer guidance on best practices, performance, scalability, and security.
- Work with stakeholders across Product, Delivery, Engineering, and Leadership teams.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and long-term architectural strategy.
- Mentor developers and provide technical leadership where required.

Required Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience working as a Solutions Architect, Technical Architect, Lead Developer, or similar senior technical position.
- MUST have strong knowledge of both: Python (ideally Django) & Microsoft.NET technologies
- MUST have previous experience within the motion control, automation, industrial technology, logistics, warehouse automation, or related sectors.
- Experience designing enterprise-level software solutions.
- Strong understanding of modern software architecture principles.
- Experience with cloud-based environments and distributed systems.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment.
- Strong collaborative mindset with a passion for working alongside development teams.

Highly Desirable
- Experience with modular application architecture and system modernisation initiatives.
- Experience working with or exposure to Rabbit NQ environments or similar modular software platforms.
- Experience integrating complex software systems and third-party technologies.
