Multiple Senior Solution Architects – Banking Integration Programme
6 month initial contract (multiple extensions expected)
Our marketing leading Banking client is urgently looking to recruit several Senior Solution Architects to support a large-scale banking integration programme:
- ATM Solution Architect
- Data Solution Architect
- General Solution Architect
- SAP Solution Architect
Role overview
The Solution Architects will design and govern technology solutions across a complex banking integration programme. Working closely with business, technology and delivery teams, they will translate programme requirements into secure, scalable and practical solution designs.
Each architect will bring expertise in their relevant area while contributing to the wider integration architecture and ensuring solutions align with the bank’s enterprise architecture, security standards and regulatory obligations.
Key responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end solution architecture for assigned workstreams.
- Translate business and technical requirements into clear solution designs.
- Produce architecture artefacts, roadmaps and documentation to support delivery and programme governance.
- Ensure solutions integrate effectively across applications, data, infrastructure and third-party platforms.
- Identify technical dependencies, risks and constraints across the programme.
- Present solution designs through relevant architecture and technical governance forums.
- Work closely with Enterprise Architects, engineering teams, delivery leads and business stakeholders.
- Assess proposed technologies and recommend solutions that meet the bank’s requirements.
- Ensure designs meet security, operational resilience, reliability and scalability standards.
- Provide architectural input into programme planning and delivery prioritisation.

Role specialisms
ATM Solution Architect
Architecture experience across ATM platforms, transaction processing and the integration of ATM services with wider banking systems.
Data Solution Architect
Strong experience designing data solutions within complex banking environments. This may include data integration, migration, modelling, governance, reporting or data platforms.
General Solution Architect
Broad architecture experience across banking applications and technology platforms, with the ability to work across multiple integration workstreams.

SAP Solution Architect
Strong SAP architecture experience, including TUPE transfers/migration from SAP to Workday
Mandatory experience
- Significant Solution Architecture experience with a background in Banking.
- Proven experience delivering complex technology solutions within regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of architecture governance, security and operational resilience.
- Experience producing clear architectural designs and presenting them to senior technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work across multiple teams and manage complex technical dependencies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable experience
- Large-scale banking integration or transformation programmes.
- Integration architecture across complex technology estates.
- Scaled Agile delivery environments.
- Cloud architecture, ideally AWS or Azure.
- Domain Driven Design, TOGAF, ArchiMate or enterprise architecture repositories.
Location
Hybrid working with two days per week in London, Bristol or Edinburgh.
