This is a senior Solutions Architect role focused on adapting and integrating a global mobile network platform to meet the specific requirements of different markets.
-
Role Overview: You’ll sit at the intersection of regulatory, product, engineering, and external partner needs, translating complex requirements into actionable technical solutions.
Your work will help ensure that core network services are not only technically integrated but also compliant, scalable, and fit for local market conditions.
-
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead discovery with mobile network operators, regulators, and internal teams to define requirements, priorities, dependencies, and delivery approaches.
- Combine technical analysis, solution design, documentation, stakeholder management, and hands-on functional leadership of engineering teams.
- Work across multiple countries and market environments, balancing compliance requirements with maintainability, scalability, and delivery efficiency.
-
Opportunities: This is an opportunity to have broad international impact in a fully remote, globally distributed environment while helping shape the future of mobile connectivity.
Accountabilities
- Act as the primary bridge between legal and regulatory requirements and Core Network engineering teams, translating regional mandates into clear, actionable functional requirements.
- Lead requirements discovery workshops with local mobile network operators, regulators, external partners, and internal stakeholders to establish scope, priorities, dependencies, and implementation approaches.
- Assess local regulatory and market requirements against existing platform capabilities and work with engineers to identify enhancements, trade-offs, and phased delivery options.
- Create high-level technical workflows, process diagrams, and flowcharts for services such as Mobile Number Portability (MNP) and Lawful Interception to guide consistent implementation.
- Define business rules, data exchange requirements, and functional specifications for MNP, voice routing, SMS routing, and related services, including edge cases and exception scenarios.
- Identify the data points, reporting requirements, validation rules, and reporting frequencies required by local authorities and ensure engineering teams can support them.
- Define acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and sign-off requirements that demonstrate successful compliance with country-specific regulatory and technical requirements.
- Maintain technical and regulatory checklists across multiple countries, tracking dependencies, delivery readiness, risks, and outstanding requirements.
- Coordinate with local central databases, MNOs, and external partners to ensure interworking specifications, quality-of-service requirements, and integration milestones are properly addressed.
- Provide functional leadership to development teams by clarifying requirements, reviewing user stories and acceptance criteria, and supporting solution design decisions.
- Mentor and coach Solution Analysts and cross-functional delivery teams on user-story writing, functional specifications, documentation, and traceability from regulation through implementation.
- Balance regulatory compliance with scalability, maintainability, delivery timelines, and overall platform consistency when making solution recommendations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
