Company Overview
Deepgram is the leading platform underpinning the emerging trillion-dollar Voice AI economy, providing real-time APIs for speech-to-text (STT), text-to-speech (TTS), and building production-grade voice agents at scale. More than 200,000 developers and 1,300+ organizations build voice offerings that are ‘Powered by Deepgram’, including Twilio, Cloudflare, Sierra, Decagon, Vapi, Daily, Cresta, Granola, and Jack in the Box. Deepgram’s voice-native foundation models are accessed through cloud APIs or as self-hosted and on-premises software, with unmatched accuracy, low latency, and cost efficiency. Backed by a recent Series C led by leading global investors and strategic partners, Deepgram has processed over 50,000 years of audio and transcribed more than 1 trillion words. There is no organization in the world that understands voice better than Deepgram.
Company Operating Rhythm
At Deepgram, we expect an AI-first mindset—AI use and comfort aren’t optional, they’re core to how we operate, innovate, and measure performance.
- Every team member who works at Deepgram is expected to actively use and experiment with advanced AI tools, and even build your own into your everyday work.
- We measure how effectively AI is applied to deliver results, and consistent, creative use of the latest AI capabilities is key to success here.
- Candidates should be comfortable adopting new models and modes quickly, integrating AI into their workflows, and continuously pushing the boundaries of what these technologies can do.
Additionally, we move at the pace of AI. Change is rapid, and you can expect your day-to-day work to evolve just as quickly. This may not be the right role if you’re not excited to experiment, adapt, think on your feet, and learn constantly, or if you’re seeking something highly prescriptive with a traditional 9-to-5.
The Opportunity
Deepgram is investing in Arabic-language capabilities, and the customers who are building on them deserve a technical partner who speaks the language and knows the region firsthand. We are hiring an Applied Engineer to be that partner: the first member of our Applied Engineering team who is dedicated to Arabic-speaking markets. We would love for you to be based in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and the search is open across the broader EMEA region.
You'll operate in the Solutions Architect role, leading the technical design and delivery of customer implementations across MENA, from kickoff through production cutover. Because you'll be the first dedicated technical presence in the region, you'll also take a strong share of pre-sales work, including the technical discovery, proof-of-concepts, and evaluations that earn the technical win for regional prospects. You'll represent Deepgram in front of customers and at regional events, and you'll bring what you learn back to our Product and Research teams, including how our Arabic models perform across dialects in production.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About the Solutions Architect Role at Deepgram
Solutions Architects at Deepgram own the periods when a customer's environment is changing (a new onboarding, a scaling deployment, a migration, a feature rollout). The work is hands-on and technical. You'll design solutions that fit each customer's stack and constraints, drive the deployment work itself, and turn what each engagement teaches you into reusable patterns that compress how long it takes the next customer to reach value. In this seat, the motion extends into pre-sales. For many regional prospects, you'll be the first Deepgram engineer that they meet, and the same skills that make implementations succeed (listening well, designing to constraints, showing working software) also win evaluations.
You'll be hired into the Applied Engineer position on our Applied Engineering team, which combines what other companies split into Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Implementation, Forward-Deployed Engineering, and Technical Support, with a single growth ladder from Associate through Principal. The region is your focus; Applied Engineering is where you grow.
What You'll Do
- Own the technical design and delivery of customer implementations across MENA, from kickoff through production cutover
- Lead technical discovery, proof-of-concept design, and evaluations for regional prospects, partnering with Account Executives through the sales cycle
- Design solutions that fit each customer's stack, constraints, and data-residency requirements
- Represent Deepgram in front of Arabic-speaking customers and at regional events
- Bring the voice of Arabic-language customers to our Product and Research teams, including feedback on Arabic model performance across dialects
- Develop reusable implementation patterns, reference architectures, and deployment playbooks that the broader team and customers can reuse
- Provide support for the most complex post-onboarding cases in the region, and help to grow our coverage into APAC hours over time
Time Allocation
- 40% — Customer implementation and scaling engagements
- 25% — Pre-sales technical work, including discovery, demos, proof-of-concepts, and evaluations
- 15% — Building reusable patterns, reference architectures, and automation
- 10% — Documentation, knowledge sharing, and product feedback
- 10% — Complex post-onboarding escalations for regional customers
Your First 90 Days
- First 30 Days — Complete comprehensive onboarding to understand Deepgram's technology, products, and competitive landscape. Gain proficiency with our core APIs and documentation. Shadow active implementation engagements and discovery calls across EMEA accounts to learn how the Applied Engineering team operates.
- 60 Days — Begin owning customer implementation engagements end to end, and lead technical discovery for regional prospects alongside Account Executives. Start contributing to reusable implementation patterns, and deliver your first Arabic-focused demo or evaluation asset.
- 90 Days — Own the technical relationship with your assigned regional accounts. Run evaluations and implementations concurrently, and establish a working feedback loop with our Product and Research teams on Arabic model performance.
