Solutions Architect - Networking, Legacy, Migrating, Cryptographic, 12 Months, DV cleared

We are seeking an experienced DV cleared Solutions Architect to lead the design, governance, and integration of advanced military messaging systems. This key position involves overseeing the development of secure, multi-domain messaging solutions that ensure seamless interoperability across various security environments and adhere to international standards and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architectural Governance & Strategy: Maintain comprehensive technical design accountability for the messaging solution architecture. Develop and validate high-level and low-level designs to facilitate secure message routing across diverse security domains. Ensure all designs align with relevant standards, including JSP604/453, and conform to protocols such as STANAG 4406, STANAG 5066, ACP127, and DOI 103. Collaborate on information assurance processes, security boundaries, Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS), Guard gateways, and PKI token structures to meet accreditation requirements.
• Legacy Modernisation & IP Migration: Lead the transition from traditional synchronous serial infrastructure to modern IP-based networks. Create obsolescence roadmaps for Legacy cryptographic hardware and message switching equipment. Design interim bridging architectures to ensure uninterrupted live service during migration phases.
• External Integration & Interoperability: Develop reference architectures for integration with multinational messaging gateways, including CCEB (5-Eyes) and NATO systems. Standardise technical configurations for secure onboarding of maritime endpoints, such as mobile naval units and tactical nodes.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting: Act as a trusted technical advisor during project updates and stakeholder workshops. Communicate effectively and promptly with relevant stakeholders, ensuring all activities are conducted within official security classifications.
