Solutions Architect / Platform Lead (SFIA Level 7)

We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect / Platform Lead (SFIA Level 7) to provide senior technical leadership and oversee the design and build of a complex technology platform.

You will act as the technical and design authority, setting the architectural direction while working closely with engineering and delivery teams to ensure the platform is successfully built and implemented.

The environment combines modern cloud-based infrastructure with legacy on-premise technologies, so strong experience across both is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide technical direction to a team of six technical specialists/engineers.
  • Own the architecture, design, and technical direction of the platform.
  • Oversee the platform build through to implementation and transition.
  • Provide technical and design assurance across engineering teams.
  • Define architecture standards, principles, and technical guardrails.
  • Lead solutions spanning cloud, hybrid, and legacy on-premise infrastructure.
  • Ensure security, resilience, scalability, and operational requirements are built into the solution.
  • Provide senior technical leadership and influence key stakeholders and suppliers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
