Solutions Architect (Networking)
London and/or Cirencester | Full-time | £80,000 to £85,000 + benefits
Our client is a well-established managed IT solutions provider with over 20 years of experience simplifying complex technology for its customers, built on strong vendor partnerships and a genuinely collaborative team culture.
The Role
You'll act as Solution Architect and senior technical authority across pre-sales and post-sales networking engagements, working closely with customers to design, propose and deliver solutions that solve real business problems. You'll lead workshops, whiteboard sessions and technical presentations, produce solution documentation and bills of materials, and act as a trusted advisor rather than a hard sell. You'll join a close knit team of six specialists spanning server and storage, cyber, physical security and networking, with real investment in your ongoing development and certifications.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We're Looking For
- Strong hands on technical grounding in wired, wireless and WAN networking, ideally across a couple of vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, HPE or Meraki
- Confidence and credibility in customer facing conversations, whether that's a discovery call, a workshop or a technical presentation
- Some presales or client facing solution design experience, though this doesn't need to span years
- A genuine appetite to grow into new vendor technologies and pursue certifications, with full support and time given to do so
- A collaborative, down to earth style rather than a purely sales driven approach
