Hays are now looking for an SC Cleared Solutions Architect for one of our local clients:

£675 p/d Outside IR35
12 Month Contract
2 days p/w in Reading, the rest is WFH
Candidates must hold current SC Clearance

In the role, you will provide technical assurance of the client's capabilities and associated changes across a mixed environment comprising Microsoft Azure and high-assurance on-premise defence networks. Produce and maintain the supporting technical documentation required to evidence assurance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the technical assurance and delivery aspects of the digital estate throughout its lifecycle, including the development, migration, enhancement, deployment, and retirement of services across the following areas:
    • Service Management
    • Service Deployment and Release
    • System Implementation

  • Establish and document technical requirements for the client's digital platforms, including systems operating within highly sensitive environments.

  • Assess and assure new and existing capabilities, as well as programme changes, reviewing technical evidence, designs, and artefacts provided by suppliers.

  • Contribute to design assurance activities, technical reviews, and testing events, offering clear and constructive technical feedback.

  • Create and maintain technical assurance, design, and governance documentation for capabilities undergoing change.

Essential Requirements

  • Active SC clearance as a minimum
  • Demonstrable experience designing, reviewing, and assuring Microsoft Azure environments, including cloud architecture, security controls, and configuration practices.
  • Strong background working with high-assurance on-premise defence networks, including architecture, accreditation processes, and technical governance.
  • Excellent technical writing skills, with experience capturing and defining requirements for complex and highly sensitive systems
