Solution Architect

Location: London / Hybrid (approx. 2 days per week)
Salary: Up to £100,000

We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect with a strong software engineering background to join a leading technology and consulting environment, working on complex transformation programmes across a variety of sectors.

This is a great opportunity for an architect who enjoys staying close to engineering while taking ownership of solution design, technical direction and senior stakeholder engagement.

The role

  • Creating and assuring key architecture artefacts, including High-Level Designs, Technical Options Papers and key design decisions
  • Working closely with engineering teams, often acting as the lead technical SME
  • Defining technical vision and establishing architectural guardrails
  • Supporting senior stakeholders with cases for change, cost estimation and detailed planning
  • Working across multiple architectural domains, including Business, Data, Application, Technology and Security
  • Working across varied projects, clients and technology stacks

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong hands-on Software Engineering background
  • Experience leading engineering teams delivering applications and services
  • Proven Solution Architecture experience
  • Strong understanding and practical application of architecture and delivery methodologies
  • Ability to operate across architectural domains, with deeper expertise in at least one area
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Confident working with multiple technical and business stakeholders in fast-paced environments
