Murex MX.3 Solution Architect | Remote (UK)
Contract: 12 Months (Extension Possible)
Rate: EUR 550-600/day (Inside IR35)
Role: Remote (UK)
We are hiring a Murex MX.3 Solution Architect to lead solution architecture for treasury, FX, trading, risk, operations, finance, and capital markets initiatives, for a leading banking client based in Ireland. This is a remote role for UK based candidates, with occasional travel to client site only if required.
Role Summary
The architect will provide deep platform and domain expertise while coordinating integrations with digital channels, payment systems, core banking services, market data platforms, risk systems, finance systems, and enterprise data services.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end to end solution architecture for MX.3 initiatives
- Translate treasury, trading, FX, risk, operations, and finance requirements into solution designs
- Define the role of MX.3 within the bank's wider application and technology landscape
- Design solutions across the trade lifecycle: pricing and execution, trade capture, position management, confirmation, settlement, accounting, collateral, market risk, counterparty risk, and regulatory reporting
- Define architecture for relevant asset classes and financial products
- Design integrations between MX.3 and dealer/trading channels, corporate digital banking channels, payment and settlement platforms, core banking systems, market data providers, risk and finance platforms, general ledger systems, enterprise data services, and external counterparties and utilities
- Define API, message queue, event, batch, and file transfer patterns for MX.3 integrations
- Define MX.3 data migration, reconciliation, reference data, historical data, and coexistence approaches
- Assess architecture impact of MX.3 configuration, product extensions, custom development, interfaces, platform upgrades, and vendor releases
- Ensure MX.3 solutions meet performance, scalability, security, auditability, resilience, and recoverability requirements
- Collaborate with Murex functional consultants, technical specialists, integration teams, infrastructure teams, testers, and operations teams
- Identify platform constraints, vendor dependencies, customization risks, and technical debt
- Support environment, release, implementation, cutover, and service transition planning
- Present MX.3 solutions to architecture review and technical design authorities

Must Have
- Strong solution architecture experience in treasury, trading, FX, or capital markets
- Demonstrable experience with Murex MX.3 implementations, upgrades, migrations, or significant enhancement programmes
- Strong understanding of front office, middle office, and back office processes
- Knowledge of trade capture, pricing, position management, confirmation, settlement, accounting, risk, and regulatory reporting
- Strong application and integration architecture experience
- Experience integrating MX.3 with enterprise and banking platforms
- Knowledge of APIs, messaging, batch, event driven, and file based integration
- Experience with trade, market, reference, or historical data migration
- Understanding of reconciliation, auditability, financial controls, and operational processes
- Experience working with platform vendors, system integrators, and distributed delivery teams
- Ability to provide technical leadership and architecture governance for MX.3 initiatives

Desirable
- Experience across multiple asset classes
- Knowledge of corporate and retail FX products
- Experience with FX spot, forwards, swaps, options, derivatives, or treasury products
- Knowledge of Murex reporting, interfaces, workflows, data services, environments, or deployment architecture
- Experience with Murex cloud, hosted, or hybrid deployment models
- Knowledge of collateral, liquidity, market risk, counterparty risk, or regulatory reporting
- Experience integrating Murex with customer facing digital channels
- Knowledge of Bank of Ireland delivery and governance processes
- Desirable (Bonus): Coconet multi:versa experience
Ideal Candidate
A senior capital markets or treasury architect with direct Murex MX.3 programme experience, who understands both the platform's business capabilities and its integration, data, infrastructure, security, and operational implications
