Solution Architects - SC cleared - London/hybrid - Government project
Solution Architects required, different skill types:
Role 1
- AWS Services & Networking: Advanced expertise in core AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, Route 53), with an emphasis on secure VPC design, subnetting, and strict IAM policy management.
- Kubernetes (EKS): Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, specifically AWS EKS, including in-depth knowledge of cluster management, security policies, and multi-tenant environments.
- ECS & Fargate: Proficiency in deploying and managing containerized applications on ECS and Fargate, focusing on load balancing, networking, and microservice architectures.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Demonstrable experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools to enable infrastructure automation, configuration management, and security by design.

Role 2
- 10+ years' experience in software engineering or architecture, including 3+ years as a solution/technical architect on multi-service platforms.
- Proven track record designing technology modernisation - defining target-state architectures and migration paths from Legacy applications and infrastructure to currently supported, cloud-native patterns.
- Strong architectural grounding in .NET/.NET Core, with working knowledge of Python and modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React).
- Experience designing solutions using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and containerised deployment (Docker) at scale.
- Experience architecting with AWS managed services (RDS, SQS, DynamoDB, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, ECR) and applying the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

Role 3
- Solution architecture delivery across large, complex IT landscapes in a regulated, critical environment.
- Broad experience across solution architecture styles (e.g., cloud, distributed, monolithic, ETL, cross-platform and cross-organisational integration).
- A pragmatic approach to picking up architecture work started by previous resources, quickly assessing what is needed and driving to conclusions.
- Excellent stakeholder management, including influencing senior stakeholders and negotiating contentious architectural issues to reach consensus.
- Good understanding of reference architecture and governance processes.
- Able to manage people, navigate conflict, problem-solve, distil key discussion points, organise work and communicate effectively.
