About the Role

The Solution Consultant is a core member of the OpenText Cybersecurity Sales team, working together to identify and develop revenue opportunities. This will involve working with complex customer requirements to provide a compelling, unique value proposition which leverages OpenText Cybersecurity portfolio of solutions.

The role is responsible for helping partners visualize the value proposition by building out customized demonstrations of OpenText products and solutions and delivering technology and business level presentations to technical, business, and management-level audiences.

You are great at:

  • Understanding customer business pains and proposing the required business solution.
  • Applying both business skills and technical knowledge to solve problems and subsequently providing an appropriate technical solution to meet the customer’s business requirements.
  • Presenting to senior-level business and technical users.
  • Qualifying opportunities at key milestones, taking into consideration the competitive landscape, channel, solution fit, relationship with the customer, etc.
  • Developing and delivering product demonstrations and proof of concepts against customer requirements.
  • Responding to RFx requests, taking the lead for the solution and technical elements of the response.
  • Searching to find ways to create new opportunities for OpenText, either by improving existing products, processes, and/or use of our technology.

  • Fluent German and English language skills.
  • Strong understanding of Cyber Security solutions, ideally including Identity and Access Management.
  • Minimum of a BS in Computer Science or other related field or equivalent experience.
  • Track record of experience in a customer-facing technical role in solution selling/value-based selling environment.
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
  • Able to respond appropriately in a dynamic, client-oriented organization.
