As a Solutions Consultant
As a Solutions Consultant, you’ll leverage your scientific expertise and creativity to bring IDBS solutions to life—helping customers solve critical data challenges and achieve their business goals. In this role, you will partner closely with Account Managers and the broader Sales team to lead pre-sales activities, deliver impactful demonstrations, and progress opportunities through to successful outcomes.

This position reports to the Director, Solutions Consulting and is part of the Solutions Consulting team located in Europe. It will be fully remote.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Effectively deliver value-based product demonstrations to customers in-person, remotely, and at conferences using engaging presentation skills.
- Create demo video content in support of presales efforts.
- Contribute to pre-sales actions (including demos, RFPs/ RFIs) on qualified opportunities in partnership with Account Managers and the Solutions Consulting Team.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to help qualify the customers’ needs, demonstrate direct value and drive the engagement through to a successful sale.
- Influence and maintain commercial awareness and provide feedback to Product Managers and Marketing on IDBS’ customers, competitors and technology trends.
- Proactively learn how to configure and demonstrate IDBS software and work within the solutions consulting team to review and improve our pre-sales materials.
Essential Requirements
- Degree level qualification and/or equivalent experience in a scientific discipline (i.e., Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Pharmacology).
- Demonstrated experience both using and configuring scientific/ informatic software (i.e., LIMS, LES, ELN).
- Engaging presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer community including scientists, IT, Department Heads, Senior Management and Business Sponsors.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects / customer activities simultaneously.
- Biotechnology, bioprocessing, bioanalysis, pharmaceutical, and/or early research environments, with 2–5+ years of hands-on application experience within biopharma organizations.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
- Willingness and ready to travel both domestically and internationally to customer sites on short notice (minimum 25%).
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Technical sales/ Consulting/ Sales Engineering supporting enterprise level customers in Life sciences.
- Configuring software and/or using IDBS (or similar) products, including Lab Automation, SaaS, Cloud-based applications.
- Partnering with sales on account planning and execution to support deal progression.
- Fluency in any of the following languages: German, Dutch, French, Korean.
