Warehouse Solutions Design Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Solutions Design Manager to join a leading global contract logistics and supply chain organisation.
We are not looking for automation or engineering - this is pure warehouse design!
The Role
You will play a key role in developing operational solutions that support major logistics tenders, network optimisation projects, and customer growth initiatives. Working across multiple projects simultaneously, you will analyse customer requirements, model warehouse operations, develop solutions, and contribute to customer presentations and commercial proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design innovative, operationally sound, and commercially viable warehouse and supply chain solutions.
- Analyse customer data, throughput volumes, storage requirements, and operational processes to develop tailored logistics solutions.
- Lead warehouse design projects from concept through to final proposal with minimal supervision.
- Conduct process mapping, capacity planning, labour modelling, and operational analysis.
- Engage with prospective and existing customers to understand operational challenges and identify improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, and benchmarking exercises to validate proposed solutions.
- Work closely with operational, commercial, engineering, and business development teams to develop end-to-end supply chain solutions.
- Support the production of customer proposals, tender responses, and presentations.
- Develop solution costings and provide the operational data required for financial modelling and sign-off.
- Conduct operational reviews with key stakeholders to ensure solutions are deliverable and commercially robust.
- Assist in the development of contract KPIs and performance measures.
- Support senior leadership teams during customer meetings, presentations, and business development activities.
- Ensure all project deliverables are completed within agreed timescales and quality standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
