Solutions Designer

Salford | Hybrid (2 days onsite)
Up to £57,000 + Outstanding Pension & Holiday Package

We're supporting a well-known organisation undergoing a significant digital transformation and are looking for a Solutions Designer to join their growing technology function.

This role sits at the heart of delivery, bridging the gap between Architecture, Business Analysis and Software Engineering teams. You'll be responsible for translating business requirements and high-level architectural designs into detailed, developer-ready solutions that can be delivered efficiently and effectively.

You'll play a key role in improving technical design quality, reducing ambiguity before development begins and ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and aligned with wider technology standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed solution designs for applications, integrations, data services and digital products
  • Translate business and architectural requirements into technical specifications and delivery-ready designs
  • Create solution artefacts including process flows, interface specifications, data mappings and integration designs
  • Collaborate closely with Architects, Developers, Product teams and Business Analysts
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, dependencies and design challenges
  • Improve design governance, technical standards and delivery readiness across the technology function
  • Support Agile delivery teams through backlog refinement, planning and technical assurance activities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
