SOLUTIONS DIRECTOR, TELECOMS & MEDIA

London (onsite / travel required when necessary)

WHO ARE WE

Hansen is a global provider of software and services to the energy, water and communications industries. With award-winning software used by more than 600 customers in over 80 countries, we help organisations create and deliver new products and services, engage customers, and manage critical revenue management and customer support processes.

In Communications & Media, Hansen works with customers across critical telecom operating domains, including BSS/OSS, customer management, revenue management, service fulfilment, network inventory, CPQ, product catalogue, order management, digital services, network automation and AI-enabled operating model transformation.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

Shape the vision. Prove the value. Win confidence.

As Solutions Director in our Communications & Media vertical, you will act as one of Hansen’s most senior customer-facing technical sales leaders for strategic telecom transformation opportunities. Partnering closely with Sales, Product and Delivery, you will help customers simplify complexity, build confidence in Hansen’s solutions and understand how our technology can deliver measurable business outcomes across BSS/OSS, digital transformation and critical telecom operating processes.

This role is central to improving technical validation, competitive differentiation and conversion across strategic pursuits. By translating complex customer priorities into credible, outcome-led solution strategies, you will help accelerate opportunity progression, strengthen executive engagement and support the conversion of strategic opportunities into revenue.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Shape strategic telecom pursuits: Partner with Business Development Directors and Account Executives from early engagement through technical validation, commercial positioning and contract award.
  • Engage senior customers early: Use discovery conversations, executive dialogue and consultative workshops to uncover transformation drivers, pain points, decision criteria and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead solution strategy and validation: Facilitate workshops with CIOs, CTOs and senior business leaders, bringing structure and clarity to complex technical and commercial conversations.
  • Mobilise internal expertise: Coordinate sales, product, pre-sales, delivery and technical teams around customer priorities, pursuit milestones, solution assumptions and implementation credibility.
  • Drive high-quality RFI/RFP and proof-of-value activity: Shape win themes, solution narratives, demonstrations and evidence points that show Hansen’s relevance and differentiation.
  • Build trusted executive relationships: Act as a consultative advisor to CIOs, CTOs and senior business stakeholders, positioning Hansen as a strategic transformation partner rather than a transactional software provider.
  • Strengthen market credibility: Represent Hansen at customer, partner and industry forums, helping build relationships, identify emerging opportunities and reinforce Hansen’s presence in the telecom ecosystem.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
