Role Summary
A Solutions Consultant is a strategic, client-facing sales position focused on driving growth through consultative solution selling and deep understanding of customer workflows. The successful candidate will identify complex client needs, shape tailored solutions, and lead enterprise sales engagements from discovery through negotiation and close.
The role requires strong commercial acumen, the ability to influence stakeholders across a matrix organization, and the credibility to engage senior decision-makers on business and workflow transformation. It is ideally suited to someone who combines enterprise sales expertise with strategic thinking, solution-led selling, and a proven ability to navigate complex internal and client environments.

Key Responsibilities
The role is responsible for driving growth across Derivia’s brands, with a primary focus on Reference Data Solutions and wider Data Feed capabilities. Key success criteria will be focused on identifying, developing, and closing strategic solution opportunities with financial institutions.
The role combines:
- consultative enterprise sales,
- workflow analysis,
- strategic account development,
- subject matter expertise,
- and complex solution positioning
Working closely with Account Managers, Customer Success, Product Leadership, and senior client stakeholders to drive:
- new business,
- cross-sell,
- upsell,
- and long-term client value.
New Business Development
- Identify and pursue new logo opportunities.
- Expand relationships within existing strategic accounts.
- Build pipeline through proactive market engagement and networking
- Develop relationships with:
- Heads of Trading
- CIOs/CTOs
- Portfolio Managers
- Risk teams
- Operations leaders

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Exceptional commercial acumen and sales skills, required
- Experience selling complex solutions into financial institutions globally
- Familiarity with Reference Data Solutions
- Exceptional pipeline management & forecasting skills
- Skilled coach of BANT, or other B2B sales methodology
- 5–15 years’ experience in:
- financial markets sales,
- fintech,
- enterprise software,
- market data,
- or workflow technology.
