Junior Forward Deployed Engineer | London | Hybrid
Are you a software engineer looking to move beyond pure development and get closer to clients, financial markets, and real-world business problems?
I'm working on an exciting opportunity with a fast-growing investment technology business building modern technology for some of the world's leading financial institutions. They're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join a growing team and develop into a highly technical, client-facing specialist.
The role
You'll work alongside experienced engineers to:

- Translate client requirements into technical solutions
- Build integrations, data pipelines, and workflows
- Work with Python, C#, SQL, and APIs
- Troubleshoot technical and data issues
- Learn investment workflows across trading, portfolios, and operations
- Work with clients, Product, and Engineering teams
- Support implementations from design through to delivery
About you
We're looking for someone with:
- Commercial software engineering experience (2 years plus)
- Python and/or C#
- Good SQL/database knowledge
- An interest in financial markets or investment technology
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A desire to develop into a more client-facing technical role

Investment management or capital markets experience is required
