About Varnish Software
Varnish Software is redefining how the world’s leading organizations build resilient, high-performance delivery platforms. We empower businesses to secure and accelerate their CI/CD pipelines by caching and validating software dependencies, integrating platform engineering best practices and robust supply chain security directly into their infrastructure. While our core technology remains the industry standard for lightning-fast web and streaming, we are expanding into helping customers build, secure, and scale their development ecosystems with confidence.
To help us support our customers in developing and implementing solutions for their biggest challenges, we are looking for customer-facing engineers who can deliver either remote or onsite customer Varnish projects.
About the Role
As a Solutions Engineer for Platform Engineering Acceleration (PEA) at Varnish, you will:
- Consult with customers on modernizing their delivery pipelines, focusing on platform engineering best practices and software supply chain security integrations.
- Be a Varnish technical specialist/expert.
- In collaboration with our sales teams, help identify, qualify and align prospects’ technical needs to Varnish’s business solutions.
- Increase win rate in technically complex deals.
- Use this knowledge to deliver custom implementation projects such as onboarding, monitoring, high availability, integration and development.
- Travel frequently to meet and work with customers, some of which are the biggest brands within their markets (with flexibility depending on location and project needs).
- Work directly with our Engineering teams to come up with solutions to meet new requirements.
- Have a significant impact on technical and architectural decisions for some of our customers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Adaptable to new technological trends.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
