Spectrum Search is partnered with a growth-stage B2B software company building API-led technology for complex financial and compliance workflows. The company is expanding its Solutions Engineering function and is looking for a technically strong, commercially aware Solutions Engineer to support enterprise customers through complex pre-sales engagements.

About the opportunity

This is a full-time role for a Solutions Engineer who can operate confidently between sales, engineering and customer teams. You will combine hands-on API knowledge with strong discovery, demonstration and solution design skills, helping enterprise prospects understand how the platform can integrate into complex technical environments.

The position reports to the Head of Solutions Engineering and sits within a globally distributed Solutions Engineering team.

The role

You will act as the technical partner throughout the sales process, translating customer requirements into credible solutions and clear business value. The role requires someone comfortable going beyond standard product demonstrations to understand integration architecture, technical constraints and implementation considerations.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales to lead technical discovery, scoping and solution design for enterprise and mid-market prospects
  • Create and deliver tailored product demonstrations and technical presentations
  • Lead technical discussions covering REST APIs, integration architecture, gap analysis and implementation planning
  • Work directly with API documentation, JSON and SQL where required to support technical engagements
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear commercial value for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support objection handling and value-based selling during complex sales cycles
  • Build deep knowledge of the platform's API capabilities and contribute customer insight to product improvements
  • Support technical customer queries and ensure an effective handover from pre-sales into implementation
  • Contribute to internal processes and partnerships as the Solutions Engineering function develops

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
