Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer

You understand cybersecurity. You can explain it clearly. Now put those strengths at the centre of how enterprise customers evaluate and adopt a security platform.

Cyber Nexus is recruiting a Solutions Engineer for an international cybersecurity software business. This role combines technical consulting, presales and customer engagement, giving you the opportunity to work directly with security practitioners and senior decision-makers across Europe.

You’ll help customers identify their priorities, explore relevant capabilities and build confidence in the solution through demonstrations, technical evaluations and workshops.

The role

Working alongside sales and customer success colleagues, you’ll guide the technical side of customer conversations from initial discovery through evaluation and adoption.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding customers’ security challenges and translating them into relevant use cases.
  • Delivering tailored product demonstrations that connect technical capabilities to business outcomes.
  • Supporting technical discovery, answering customer questions and helping shape the approach to opportunities.
  • Planning and guiding trials and proof-of-value exercises, with clear objectives and success criteria.
  • Building relationships with technical stakeholders, from hands-on security teams to senior leaders.
  • Delivering workshops and training sessions that help customers get more from the platform.
  • Sharing customer feedback with internal teams to support improvements to products and services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Practical experience in penetration testing, offensive security, incident response or security operations would be valuable. Relevant security certifications and experience supporting channel partners are also welcome.

Already working in cybersecurity presales? We’d like to hear from you. Coming from security consulting? If you enjoy presenting findings, advising clients and helping them make technical decisions, this could be a strong move into solutions engineering.

UK-based candidates are preferred, although candidates elsewhere in Europe may also be considered.
