Unified Communications Engineer (Microsoft Teams) – SC Cleared
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required
We are looking for an experienced Unified Communications Engineer with strong expertise across the Microsoft Teams ecosystem to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on business-critical collaboration and communication platforms within a secure environment, supporting both project delivery and operational services.
The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of Unified Communications technologies, with a particular focus on Microsoft Teams, voice, and collaboration services. An active SC Clearance is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support Microsoft Teams collaboration and voice solutions.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Teams, Teams Phone, Auto Attendants, and Call Queues.
- Configure and support Direct Routing, Operator Connect, and Calling Plans.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across Teams, telephony, and Unified Communications infrastructure.
- Support Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies and ensure service availability.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver UC solutions that meet business needs.
- Assist with migrations from legacy telephony platforms to Microsoft Teams.
- Monitor system performance, identify service improvements, and implement best practices.
- Produce technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and customers.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Active SC Clearance (must be current).
- Strong experience administering and supporting Microsoft Teams.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Teams Phone and Enterprise Voice.
- Experience with Direct Routing, Session Border Controllers (SBCs), and SIP telephony.
- Good understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience supporting Exchange Online and hybrid environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across Unified Communications technologies.
- Familiarity with PowerShell for administration and automation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within technical teams.

Desirable Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms and collaboration devices.
- Experience with Cisco, Skype for Business, or legacy PBX migrations.
- Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, QoS, SIP, and firewalls.
- Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate or equivalent.
