Solutions Engineer – Infrastructure & Cyber Security

Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE
Location: London
Work Arrangement: Hybrid Working

Are you an experienced Infrastructure or Cyber Security Engineer looking for a role that combines 3rd-line technical expertise, infrastructure projects, client consultancy, and cyber security?

We’re working with a fast-paced managed IT services provider supporting 5,000+ users across 100+ businesses, who are looking for a Solutions Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

This is a varied, client-facing position where you’ll play a key role in managing complex IT environments, delivering infrastructure projects, and strengthening clients’ cyber security posture.

The Role

You’ll act as a senior technical escalation point, providing expert support across infrastructure, cloud, networking, and cyber security, while also taking ownership of technical projects and working closely with clients.

You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and help drive best practices across the wider engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 3rd-line technical support and troubleshoot complex infrastructure and security issues.
  • Design, implement, and manage infrastructure and cyber security solutions.
  • Lead projects including server migrations, virtualisation, Azure deployments, and network upgrades.
  • Manage and configure firewalls, endpoint protection, and cloud security solutions.
  • Support incident response, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide appropriate technical solutions.
  • Monitor and report on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and infrastructure performance.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Ensure systems, configurations, and solutions are fully documented.
  • Advise clients on infrastructure, cyber security, and industry best practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
