Solutions Engineers at TransPerfect

Solutions Engineers (SEs) at TransPerfect are passionate about product development, client requests for enhancements, and the resolution of production issues. We expect our SEs to be AI-literate and to actively use AI tools in their day-to-day workflow to work faster, smarter, and with higher quality.

Description

  • Work with Client Service Representatives and Solutions Engineers to resolve Trial Interactive Operations Escalations
  • Assist with data migration using pre-defined utilities and processes
  • Assist with PDC and IQ test scripts preparation and execution
  • Build and execute QA scripts for migration and other special projects
  • Write technical documentation about special projects and new processes
  • Execute database scripts for enhancements to the reporting system
  • Assist Solutions Engineers in production server maintenance and new version deployments for applications
  • Assist Solutions Engineers in building large-scale, high-availability systems for Enterprise Life Sciences Clients
  • Create custom eLearning videos internally and for clients – on the eTMF and SSU modules
  • Use AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) in day-to-day work to accelerate scripting, troubleshooting, QA, data analysis, and documentation
  • Use AI-assisted development to build rapid prototypes and proof-of-concepts for client enhancement requests and internal process improvements
  • Critically review and validate all AI-generated output (code, scripts, test cases, documentation) for accuracy, security, and compliance before use
  • Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor

Requirements

  • General knowledge of web application development, SOA, and how web services work
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Superior written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), shell scripts
  • Experience with Adobe applications, including Acrobat Professional, Reader, and Distiller
  • Proficient with Windows Operating Systems XP and higher
  • Working knowledge of AI and generative AI concepts, including large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and the capabilities and limitations of AI tools
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve personal productivity and quality of work
  • Awareness of responsible AI use, including data privacy, confidentiality, and validation of AI output in a regulated (GxP) environment
  • Strong work ethic
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or equivalent

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Willingness to learn eClinical solutions
  • General understanding of HTTP, REST, JSON, IIS 6, Web Services, and Web application development
  • General understanding of MSSQL, TSQL, XML, and C#
  • Scripting experience in shell scripts and Python
  • Experience building prototypes or proof-of-concept applications using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot)
  • Familiarity with integrating AI/LLM APIs (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock) into applications, automations, or workflows
  • Curiosity and drive to keep up with emerging AI tools and share best practices with the team
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Work well with people from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures
  • Build relationships with clients and co-workers
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Take active measures to solve problems and commit to a high level of service
