Solution Engineer

Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum
Hybrid working available
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

We are currently recruiting for a Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales) to join a growing Sales team, supporting customers across the UK and international markets, including Europe and the Middle East.

This is a varied role combining technical expertise, customer engagement and commercial activity. You will act as a key technical link between customers and the wider business, helping to understand customer requirements, present solutions and support successful sales outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team during customer engagements by providing technical expertise and product knowledge
  • Deliver product presentations, demonstrations and technical briefings
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and respond to customer product enquiries
  • Investigate technical or application issues and provide practical recommendations
  • Visit customer sites where required to support technical investigations
  • Act as a point of contact for complex or escalated customer queries
  • Support customer onboarding, training and implementation activities
  • Represent the business at exhibitions, trade shows and industry events
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure solutions are delivered effectively

  • Previous experience in a Solution Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer or similar customer-facing technical role
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience delivering technical or CPD presentations
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in supporting sales activity
  • Confident dealing directly with customers and building strong relationships
  • Willingness to travel occasionally across the UK and internationally
