Solution Engineer
Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum
Hybrid working available
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
We are currently recruiting for a Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales) to join a growing Sales team, supporting customers across the UK and international markets, including Europe and the Middle East.
This is a varied role combining technical expertise, customer engagement and commercial activity. You will act as a key technical link between customers and the wider business, helping to understand customer requirements, present solutions and support successful sales outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the sales team during customer engagements by providing technical expertise and product knowledge
- Deliver product presentations, demonstrations and technical briefings
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
- Provide technical guidance and respond to customer product enquiries
- Investigate technical or application issues and provide practical recommendations
- Visit customer sites where required to support technical investigations
- Act as a point of contact for complex or escalated customer queries
- Support customer onboarding, training and implementation activities
- Represent the business at exhibitions, trade shows and industry events
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure solutions are delivered effectively

About You

- Previous experience in a Solution Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer or similar customer-facing technical role
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience delivering technical or CPD presentations
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Commercial awareness and an interest in supporting sales activity
- Confident dealing directly with customers and building strong relationships
- Willingness to travel occasionally across the UK and internationally
