Solutions Engineer

We're working with a high-growth UK SaaS business operating across AI, customer experience and communications technology.

They're looking for a Solutions Engineer with a strong technical foundation and, importantly, someone who still enjoys being hands-on.

This role sits between customer requirements, technical problem-solving and delivery. A customer might have a requirement that the core platform doesn't solve out of the box. You'll understand what they're trying to achieve, scope the technical solution and, where appropriate, build the integration, middleware or tooling required to make it work.

So, while you'll work closely with Engineering, this isn't a role where every technical requirement gets scoped and passed across for someone else to build. You'll be capable of taking plenty of those problems through to delivery yourself.

What you'll be doing

  • Building integrations between software platforms using APIs, webhooks and other integration methods
  • Writing scripts, middleware and lightweight applications using JavaScript, Python or similar
  • Moving, manipulating and structuring data between different systems
  • Building and maintaining CRM and third-party integrations
  • Troubleshooting integration and platform issues across customer environments
  • Working directly with customers to understand technical requirements, clarify problems and present solutions
  • Configuring and testing conversational AI, including prompts, tool calling, routing and escalation logic
  • Supporting integrations across telephony and SIP environments
  • Testing solutions before deployment and turning resolved technical problems into useful documentation

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we're looking for

Your current job title isn't particularly important. You could currently be working as a Technical Solutions Engineer, Integration Engineer, Professional Services Engineer, Technical Consultant, Solutions Consultant or Systems Integration Engineer.

You might even have started your career closer to software development before moving towards more varied, customer-led technical work. What matters is that you're comfortable building, not just talking about the technology.

We'd love to hear examples where:

  • A customer needed X. Their system did Y. You designed the solution, built the integration or middleware, tested it and helped get it live.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Hands-on scripting or development experience
  • Strong API, webhook and systems integration knowledge
  • Experience connecting different software platforms and working with data between them
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills
  • The ability to understand a customer requirement and translate it into a workable technical solution
  • Confidence communicating technical information directly with customers

Experience with SIP, VoIP, telephony or contact-centre technology would be a real advantage, but we're not expecting you to arrive as an expert in every area. Likewise, previous experience with Voice AI, conversational AI, LLM prompting or tool calling would be valuable, but strong underlying development and integration capability is more important.

Why join?

You'll be joining a scaling SaaS business where the volume and complexity of customer opportunities is increasing quickly. You'll work closely with an experienced technical leader initially, learning the platform while gradually taking ownership of more customer solutions from initial requirement through to delivery.

As the team grows, there's also an opportunity to develop deeper expertise and become the go-to specialist for particular areas of the technology.

Package: £70,000-£80,000 base
Location: Remote-first UK (Applicants MUST be UK based)

If you're a hands-on technical problem solver who enjoys figuring out how different systems can work together, I'd be keen to hear from you.
