What You Will Be Doing

In this highly strategic, individual contributor role, you will lead all technical aspects of pre-sales engagements for complex, high-value customers. You will partner closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to design tailored electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) architectures, energy management strategies, and battery storage solutions. Success in this role means effectively bridging the gap between technical complexity and business value, ensuring seamless deployments, and positioning ChargePoint as the undisputed leader in fleet electrification and infrastructure.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • Drive and manage complex technology evaluations as the primary technical authority during pre-sales customer engagements, acting as a trusted advisor for ChargePoint products and solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive engineering site and architecture assessments, either virtually or in-person, to develop tailored recommendations for EV charging infrastructure deployments.
  • Design sophisticated solutions addressing the operational needs of light, medium, and heavy-duty fleets, incorporating vehicle charging capabilities, dwell times, routing, scheduling, and energy management.
  • Architect software API implementations and integrations between ChargePoint’s platforms and external third-party systems to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations and product training to partners, customers, and internal stakeholders to articulate the value proposition of ChargePoint solutions.
  • Lead the technical response for complex Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Tenders, and partner with the sales team to craft accurate Statements of Work (SoWs) and proposals.
  • Partner with Product Management by translating customer feedback and market trends into actionable insights that help shape the product development roadmap.
  • Identify and proactively resolve technical roadblocks that could impact customer satisfaction, ensuring a smooth transition from pre-sales to deployment.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of local electrical installation codes, EVSE standards, and industry trends surrounding battery energy storage and high-power solutions.
  • Advise customers on technical best practices and system architecture, demonstrating how to effectively integrate charging infrastructure into their broader business operations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
