Solutions Engineer - Presales Focused
London (3 days per week in office)
Up to £85,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Stock
We're partnering with a fast-growing technology company looking to add an experienced Solutions Engineer to their commercial team. This is a highly impactful, client-facing role where you'll work closely with prospects and customers to understand technical requirements, design solutions, and help drive successful outcomes throughout the sales process.
This position would suit someone currently working as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Presales Engineer, Technical Presales Consultant, or someone in a similar role with a strong blend of technical and customer-facing experience.
The Role
As a Solutions Engineer, you'll act as the technical bridge between customers, sales teams, and internal technical stakeholders. You'll help customers understand how the platform can solve their business challenges while guiding them through solution design, integrations, and technical evaluations.

You'll be responsible for:
- Leading technical discovery sessions with prospective customers
- Delivering product demonstrations tailored to customer requirements
- Designing and presenting technical solutions to a broad range of stakeholders
- Supporting complex sales opportunities as the technical subject matter expert
- Advising customers on API capabilities, integrations, and implementation approaches
- Responding to technical questions, RFPs, and solution requirements
- Collaborating closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams
- Translating complex technical concepts into clear business value for both technical and non-technical audiences
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Presales Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar role
- Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and solution architecture
- Experience supporting enterprise or mid-market customers through complex sales cycles
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong customer-facing and presentation skills
- Experience running technical workshops, discovery sessions, and product demonstrations
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with commercial and technical teams
- A consultative approach to problem-solving and customer engagement

Nice to Have
- Experience within SaaS environments
- Exposure to payments, fintech, e-commerce, logistics, or other integration-heavy technology businesses
- Experience working with modern web technologies and cloud-based platforms
