Senior Solutions Engineer (FinTech & API Platform)
Location: London, UK (Hybrid, 2 days/week in-office with travel to clients)
Package: £90,000 – £115,000 Base + Commission (£128k – £170k OTE) + Equity
About the Opportunity
A rapidly scaling, well-funded B2B SaaS platform in the global financial technology and automated compliance space is expanding its EMEA Solutions Engineering team. Following recent Series C funding and rapid growth serving global enterprise marketplaces and digital platforms, we are hiring multiple Senior Solutions Engineers to lead complex technical engagements across 190+ countries.
The Role
In this high-impact pre-sales role, you will partner directly with Enterprise Account Executives to drive technical discovery, integration architecture, and solution design for global accounts. You will act as the technical subject matter expert across a core REST API platform, guiding prospect engineering and finance stakeholders from initial scoping to technical close.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery, architectural scoping, and tailored platform demonstrations for enterprise prospects.
- Architect robust REST API integration strategies, address complex technical objections, and conduct gap analysis.
- Serve as the technical bridge between client engineering teams, product management, and internal sales leadership.
- Partner with post-sales teams to ensure seamless handoffs and successful implementations at true global scale.
- Travel up to ~40% across key European hubs to meet enterprise stakeholders onsite.
Requirements
- Core Experience: 4–8 years as a Solutions Engineer or Pre-Sales Engineer within a B2B SaaS or API-first environment.
- Technical Depth: Deep hands-on experience with REST APIs, integration architectures, JSON, SQL, and reading/writing code.
- Enterprise Expertise: Proven track record in value-based technical selling to mid-market and enterprise accounts.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Domain Interest: Strong interest in FinTech, payments infrastructure, regulatory technology, or global compliance automation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Background combining pre-sales expertise with software engineering or solutions architecture.
- Experience operating within high-growth, Series B–D stage scale-ups.
- Professional fluency in French or German is a plus.
