About The Role

Balfour Beatty are partnering with the MEH Alliance is seeking an experienced Solution & Information Architect to provide technical leadership across enterprise applications, data platforms, integrations, cloud technologies and digital solutions supporting one of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the future digital landscape of the organisation, helping to define enterprise architecture, establish information governance standards and drive innovation through Microsoft technologies, Azure, AI and modern data platforms.

What you'll be doing

As a Solution & Information Architect, you will be responsible for defining, governing and assuring enterprise technology, data and information architectures across the MEH Alliance. You'll work closely with Digital, Business Operations and Project Delivery teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure and maintainable solutions that support long-term business objectives.

You Will Play a Key Role In

  • Developing and maintaining enterprise architecture principles, standards and technology roadmaps.
  • Designing and assuring business, data and integration solutions.
  • Establishing enterprise information architecture, governance frameworks and data management standards.
  • Supporting digital transformation initiatives and evaluating emerging technologies.
  • Providing architectural leadership across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Data & Analytics platforms and enterprise applications.
  • Leading architecture governance processes and reviewing supplier solutions to ensure compliance, security and operational excellence.

You Will Ideally Have

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Data Science, Computing or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience delivering complex Data and Business Intelligence solutions within a leadership capacity.
  • Experience producing architecture artefacts including High-Level and Low-Level Designs, architecture decision records, technology roadmaps and integration designs.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience operating within governance and assurance frameworks.

Desirable Experience Includes

  • TOGAF and/or ITIL certification.
  • Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or data platform certifications.
  • Experience within nuclear, construction, infrastructure or other highly regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of Information Governance and Records Management.
  • Experience supporting AI, automation and digital transformation programmes.
