The Role - Sommelier
Reporting to the Wine Director, the sommelier will work with the Front of House team to recommend and sell wines to our guests that will complement their tastes and menu choices. The sommelier will have the opportunity to participate in various internal and external trainings, tastings, and help with developing the wine list.
Ideal candidate must have previous experience from fast-paced environment and fine dining establishment. WSET or equivalent sommelier qualification is preferred but not essential. They must have excellent presentation and communication skills. Sommelier candidates must also have a passion for service and be able to demonstrate exceptional guest service.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the sommelier are summarised as below, however the list is not exhaustive:
- Approaching the table with our wine list and assist the guests in any wine choices.
- Mise-ing glassware and fetch and serve the bottles / drinks in an efficient and timely manner.
- Setting up the restaurant for service.
- Ensure all outlets in the hotel are stocked with the correct amount of wine by the glass.
- Educating our waiters team to our wine by the glass selection and wine service as a whole.
- Taking care of deliveries and the upkeep of the wine cellars.
